A GEEK HAS invented a sort of Ebay cum Loot cum Craig’s List for the mobile phone user. Already there’s some dubious looking listings up there. Someone appears to be selling his kidneys on the site. The INQUIRER didn’t bother spending the requisite quid to inquire any further, but it has to be a scam, doesn’t it? A more realistic looking advert was for Eagles tickets. The ageing rockers are playing London dates and tickets are like gold dust. Who’d have thought that there were so many people still alive that can still hum Hotel California? Now that’s worth a quid….

Live podcast discussion about OOXML today starring Jeff Waugh, Roy Schestowitz, and… you (updated)
Linux.com ran an article headlined GNOME Foundation defends OOXML involvement on November 23. Jeff Waugh, the press officer on the GNOME Foundation Board, was prominently mentioned in that article and in several others to which it links. So was Roy Schestowitz, who wrote a post titled Anti-symbiosis: ODF, OOXML, Mono, GNOME, and OpenOffice.org on the Boycott Novell site, where he is a regular contributor. Illicit Affair Between A 25 and a 13-Year Old

A 25-year old math teacher and a 13-year old student were sought by authorities for having an illicit relationship. The woman and the boy left Nebraska and crossed the border to Mexico. The two fled after their relationship was discovered through their e-mail correspondence.
Kelsey Petersen, the teacher, is being charged with delinquency of a minor, kidnapping and child abuse. Apart from having these problems, the kid was also found to be an illegal immigrant.
Both were taken into custody in Mexico.
